About meWith over 20 years devoted to the healing arts, my work is guided by my own healing journey, my experience teaching yoga and meditation, and supported by my training in depth psychology, The Hendricks Institute, Hakomi and META (mindful experiential therapies), through the Hakomi Institute of Oregon and M.E.T.A., LLC, in Portland, Oregon. I adhere to the Hakomi Institute Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics. I also earned a bachelor's degree in Cognitive Psychology from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and a Masters in Education from Portland State University, and have worked for over ten years as a teacher in public and private schools. Most importantly, I have had the fortune to encounter a few truly inspirational individuals who showed me the true value of a loving, therapeutic relationship and the power it can hold for profound healing. As a counselor and coach, it is these relationships, and the gift they have given me, that inspire the work I do. I continue to enjoy creating a safe place for learning, personal growth, and self-awareness as a teacher, parent, counselor, yogi and therapist. I welcome individuals, adolescents, and I especially enjoy working with couples. I am genuinely excited to be able to offer this kind of work and I would be happy to talk with you about it. |
